Supply-Chain World-Latin America Event Set for March

Dec 1, 2000 12:00 PM, MODERN BULK TRANSPORTER STAFF

The Supply-Chain Council will hold the first Supply-Chain World-Latin America Conference and Exhibition, set for March 5-6, 2001, at Melia Turquesa, Cancun, Mexico. "SCOR(e) with your Supply Chain - Examples, Execution, and Exchanges" is the theme for this year's conference. Alfonso Mercado of PricewaterhouseCoopers will chair the event.

A SCOR workshop will be held after the conference on March 7-8 at Melia Turquesa. This requires a separate registration and fee since attendance is limited and the agenda is more rigorous.

A supply-chain diagnostic tool, SCOR enables users to address, improve, and communicate supply-chain management practices within and among all interested parties. SCOR creates a language for communicating among intracompany functions and intercompany supply-chain partners. The model defines common supply-chain management processes and matches them against "best practices," benchmarking performance data, and optimal software applications.
