SoyMor facility earns BQ-9000 accreditation

Jun 1, 2006 12:00 PM

Renewable Energy Group and West Central announced that biodiesel production processes at SoyMor have been accredited as the first BQ-9000 biodiesel facility in Minnesota by the National Biodiesel Accreditation Commission. SoyMor is the seventh BQ-9000-accredited biodiesel facility in the nation.

BQ-9000 is a voluntary quality assurance program that demonstrates that the systems in place provide confidence that biodiesel produced at the facility will consistently meet the ASTM D6751 specification for biodiesel.

REG with West Central in Ralston IA contracted the construction, start-up, management services, and commissioning that included BQ-9000 accreditation. West Central markets SoyMor's biodiesel under the SoyPOWER brand.
