Aug 1, 2006 12:00 PM

The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) has scheduled its fourth annual National Safety Conference for Sept 14-15, 2006, at the Hyatt Hotel at Dulles International Airport just outside of Washington DC.

With the theme “Solving the Safety Puzzle,” this conference features a format of presentations, discussions with key government representatives, expert panels, and problem-solving workshops. The program, which includes a tabletop exhibit and networking opportunities, will focus on:

  • Behavioral safety — results of one fleet's implementation and success

  • Health and wellness — early results of an FMCSA synthesis study

  • Safety technology

  • Regulatory updates — from impact to implementation

  • Driver selection and retention — the life cycle of the professional driver

  • Incentive programs that work — and how to make them work

  • Security and Highway Watch

For more information, visit www.nptc.org or e-mail Bob Inderbitzen at safetybitz@aol.com or phone him at 423-884-3770. For details about the tabletop exhibit, contact Patti Burke at pburke@nptc.org or 703-683-1300, ext 212.
