Shamrock Logistics LP has purchased crude oil storage facilities at Ringgold, Texas, from Ultramar Diamond Shamrock Corporation for $5.2 million. The facilities have a capacity of 600,000 barrels. The new storage facility is expected to improve crude flexibility enhancing the crude oil supply system for Ultramar Diamond Shamrock’s refineries located in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and McKee, Texas, which are supported by pipelines owned and operated by Shamrock Logistics.
Shamrock is a master limited partnership that transports the majority of all refined products from three of Ultramar Diamond Shamrock Corporation’s refineries to markets in the Mid-Continent, Southwest, and Mexico border regions. In addition, Shamrock’s pipelines supply crude oil to these three Ultramar Diamond Shamrock refineries.
Shamrock’s assets include approximately 500 miles of crude oil pipelines and over 2,800 miles of refined product pipelines.
