Schneider joins Canada security program

Aug 1, 2003 12:00 PM

Schneider National Inc, based in Green Bay WI, is participating in the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency's Partners in Protection (PIP) program. PIP promotes awareness and the confidential exchange of information among members to combat organized crime and terrorism, and help detect and prevent the transfer of illegal goods across borders.

As part of the program, participating companies are required to submit an assessment of their security systems to Canadian customs for evaluation. Organizations that demonstrate their commitment to a secure trade chain by joining the PIP program are eligible to participate in the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) program.

FAST is a joint Canada-United States initiative that supports movement of pre-approved eligible goods across the border quickly while enhancing security.
