Safety-Kleen Corp has completed the sale of its Chemical Services Division (CSD) to Clean Harbors Inc.

“Bringing this sale to closure has been one of our primary objectives during the past several months,” said Ronald A Rittenmeyer, chairman, chief executive officer, and president of Safety-Kleen. “Completing this transaction represents a significant step forward in our plans to emerge from bankruptcy by the end of this year. With the sale now complete, we can focus exclusively on Safety-Kleen's core business in the parts washer and waste management services industry.”
