Quality Distribution Inc's primary transportation subsidiary, Quality Carriers Inc (QC), has added a new affiliate partner, Quality Food Grade Carriers (QFGC), jump-starting its bulk foodgrade effort.

This new partner is based in Winter Haven FL, the center of “Florida's Juice Country,” and primary items hauled will be juice and milk products. The venture with QFGC has already begun, with approximately 40 drivers and plans to expand to 150 drivers during the coming year.

The owner of QFGC is Stephan Vaughn, who manages the operation along with Jeff Richards. The current customer base includes Tropicana, Kroger, Kraft, Publix, Dairy Farmers of America, Southeast Milk, and T C Jacoby.

QFGC became the 120th freight terminal in Quality's network, and the largest location focusing on transporting foodgrade products. Greg Vavrik and newly appointed regional sales director Brian Wilt will help coordinate future sales opportunities. QC expects to expand its foodgrade effort to take advantage of customer's needs both locally and nationally.
