Currie Associates Inc has completed its newest training program, Eight Easy Steps to Navigating the IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) Code. This program consists of a CD-ROM with more than 250 action Power Point slides and an instructor's guide to present an employee training program in a modular format for each function covered by the regulations. The eight steps consist of:
Construction of the Code
Hazard Classification based on UN Criteria
Use of the Dangerous Goods List, UN Number Index, and Limited Quantities
Packing and Tank Provisions
Consignment Procedures for Marking, Labeling, and Placarding
Dangerous Goods Declaration and Container Packing Certificate
Transport Operations, Stowage, Segregation, and Container Packing
Use of the IMDG Code and 49 CFR Requirements for Import/Export
Each step includes checklists, work projects, and examination questions. The CD-ROM permits use of an LCD projector or printing the slides as overhead transparencies, or converting the slides to a 35-mm slide medium. For more information, phone 518-761-0668 or e-mail email@example.com.
