Private equity firm acquires F T Silfies Inc

Quantum Equity Partners LLC (QEP), a New York and Washington DC-based private equity firm focused on the acquisition of privately held middle market companies, has acquired F T Silfies Inc, a Nazareth PA-based dry bulk carrier.
Evan Wechsler, managing director of QEP, said, “Silfies is a second- and third-generation trucking company, and most of the family will remain with the business. Our strategic plan is to grow Silfies both organically and through acquisitions that fit within a very niche market.”
