PolarExtreme repair kits for fan drive upgrades

Nov 1, 2002 12:00 PM

A new series of repair kits from Horton Inc is designed to upgrade its S and HT/S Advantage fan drives.

PolarExtreme repair kits feature an improved D-shape seal design made from a new hydrogenated buna nitrile rubber (HBNR) compound. This construction will not harden or lose its seal in cold temperatures, or become dry and brittle from long-term engine exposure in the heat. HBNR provides a 30% increase in temperature tolerance. The new material also means that Horton fan drives rebuilt with new PolarExtreme repair kits will last longer and more effectively resist abrasion, heat, breakage, leakage, and spiral fatigue.
