Online training aids private fleet managers

The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) has launched its Fleet Learning Center, an online training program designed to improve the management expertise of private fleet managers.

NPTC said the educational materials represent a compilation of information, best practices, and operational excellence.

The content, which NPTC said encompasses the knowledge needed to successfully complete the Certified Transportation Professional program, is divided into five modules. These include fleet finances; safety, security, and compliance; equipment and maintenance; operations; and human resources.

International Truck & Engine Co and Idealease of North America provided financing to produce the Fleet Learning Center.
