Max Barton, who served as Groendyke Transport Inc's president from 1981 to 1996, died March 25, 2006. He had a 47-year career with Enid OK-based Groendyke and was active in the National Tank Truck Carriers, serving as NTTC chairman for the 1992 — 93 term. Services were held March 29 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Enid. Arrangements are being handled by Ladusua-Evans Funeral Home, 2800 N Van Buren, Enid OK 73703.
