NTTC Officials Look Back on 50 Years

May 1, 1998 12:00 PM

Fifty years ago, National Tank Truck Carriers Inc (NTTC) held the first of what has become the association's annual meeting. NTTC was just three years old at the time, having been established as World War II ended.

Much has changed over the past five decades, both for tank truck carriers and the association that serves them. Many of the carriers that pioneered the industry have passed from the scene, but others are still going strong. New additions have kept the industry young and vital in spirit.

With NTTC holding its 50th annual meeting this month, it seems like this is a good time for a retrospective look at the industry and the association. Modern Bulk Transporter called on NTTC past chairmen and NTTC President Cliff Harvison to discuss where the industry and association came from and what the future holds.
