New IBC has one-piece base for heavy loads

Dec 1, 2002 12:00 PM

Meese Orbitron Dunne Co has unveiled the OTP-All-Plastic intermediate bulk container, a new design featuring a one-piece plastic base for safe shipping and storage of heavy weight products with specific gravity ratings up to 1.6 such as adhesives, syrups, sauces, gravies, paints, coatings, and other non-regulated products. Supported by reinforcing ribs, the OTP-All-Plastic IBC resists bulging and ensures structural integrity without requiring steel frames or cages.

Rotomolded of LLDPE, this IBC accommodates four-way lift access and stacks two high when full, three high empty. The container is offered in 275- and 330-gallon capacities measuring 45" × 45" × 56.5" and 45" × 45" × 63.5", respectively, with approximate tare weights of 250 and 275 pounds.

The IBC includes a lever lock ring and 2" PVC ball valve discharge as standard; polypropylene and stainless steel valves and complete FDA compliance packages are available.
