Larry Hayes, chief executive officer of Chemical Distribution Inc of Bensenville IL, has been chosen Distributor of the Year by the National Association of Chemical Distributors at its 30th annual meeting in Buena Vista Lake FL. Hayes worked to form the Chemical Distribution Network, designed to redefine the industry and support interests of smaller NACD members.

Laura Dornbusch, president of Expo Chemical Co Inc of Cypress TX, has been elected NACD's director-at-large. Bernard West, Canada Colors & Chemicals Ltd of Don Mills, Ontario, was re-elected director-at-large. Bart Whitaker, president of Whitaker Oil Co of Atlanta GA, joined the board of directors as the new president of NACD's Region III.
