MarkWest Energy acquires pipeline assets

MarkWest Energy Partners LP, based in Denver CO, has acquired Shell's Michigan crude-oil gathering pipeline assets, including four tank truck unloading stations. The $21 million acquisition also includes approximately 250 miles of pipelines, associated terminals, and storage tank facilities. The system gathers some 16,000 barrels per day of light crude from wells throughout Michigan.
