Liquid Transport, Manfredi receive Ashland awards

Two bulk carriers have received awards from Ashland Distribution Company and Ashland Specialty Chemical Company, Dublin OH. Liquid Transport Corp, Greenfield IN, and Manfredi Motor Transit Co, Newbury OH, received the Ashland Carrier Excellence Award for 2001.

"We are pleased to recognize these companies for their outstanding performance and service to us, and we look forward toward a continued successful partnership with them." says Tom King, vice president, purchasing and logistics, Ashland Distribution and Ashland Specialty Chemical.

The award is presented annually to carriers who exceed the Ashland target in each of six different performance measurement areas: error-free shipments, refusal rate, safety performance, claims performance, freight bill rating accuracy, and an overall evaluation of the carriers by Ashland Distribution's and Ashland Specialty Chemical's shipping facilities.
