Kenworth Offers AutoShift With Generation II Controls

Kenworth Truck Co now offers Eaton Fuller 10- and 18-speed AutoShift transmissions with Generation II controls on its T600, T800, W900, C500, and T2000 models. The 10-speed AutoShift is also available in Kenworth's CityCab and WorkCab models.
Key features of the Generation II AutoShift include: a new electronic control unit (ECU) common to all models; redesigned X-Y shifter motors; push-button controls; and fewer, more robust connectors. The new AutoShift generation allows on-site configuration of shift points, rpm limitations, and starting gear. It also interfaces with Eaton Fuller's Service Ranger product support system, including diagnostics, service information, and programming capability.
An adjustment-free clutch, synthetic lubricant, and engine compression brake are required when selecting 10- or 18-speed AutoShift transmissions with Generation II controls.
