Inergy, Dominion Resources form agreement

Inergy LP, Kansas City MO, has announced a marketing and distribution agreement with Dominion Resources, Richmond VA, according to information from Inergy. The agreement will expand Inergy’s supply, transportation, and marketing business into the mid-Atlantic and northeastern regions of the United States.

Inergy will use Dominion’s existing truck and rail racks and Dominion’s access to the TEPPCO propane pipeline, to serve markets to the northeast. A fleet of 60 Dominion railcars will also be utilized to deliver propane to key mid-Atlantic markets in North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. The agreement will go into effect September 1. Inergy will begin transporting and marketing 100% of Dominion’s propane production from its Hastings WV fractionation plant, which produces more than 60 million gallons of propane annually.
