HMAC Conference to Focus on Compliance

“Managing Hazmat Compliance: Fact or Fiction” is the theme for the 2001 Hazardous Materials Advisory Council (HMAC) annual conference and exhibition set for Nov 7–9 at the Inter-Continental Hotel in New Orleans LA.HMAC’s 24th annual conference will feature professionals discussing what the government expects in compliance and what industry has experienced in practice—what works and what doesn’t—along with break-out sessions and United States, Canadian, and Mexican regulatory updates.
Before the conference, HMAC will hold committee meetings November 7 and a board of directors meeting November 8. Conference participants are invited to these committee meetings: North American Regulatory and Legislative Affairs, International Regulations, Program, Education and Training, and Membership. The board meeting is open to members only.
Next year’s HMAC annual conference and exhibition has been slated for Nov 6–8, 2002, at the Mission Palms Hotel in Tempe AZ.
