The news media has a new resource to help minimize confusion, rumor, and misinformation in a chemical emergency, the Chemical Educational Foundation announced.

“This brochure, The News Media's Vital Role in Chemical Emergency Planning and Response, provides important information and resources for news correspondents covering chemical emergencies,” says James Hannan, president of Schnell Publishing Co.

Brochures were distributed free of charge throughout the nation recently. For additional free copies, phone 703-527-6223, ext 116, or download through www.chemed.org/pubs.htm.
