Four Community Response Groups Win CEF Awards

Four community awareness and emergency planning and response committees have been honored by the Chemical Educational Foundation.

This year’s top award winner was the North Central Florida Local Emergency Planning Committee of Gainesville FL. Honorable mentions were awarded to Erie County Local Emergency Planning Committee, Erie County NY; Oregon Local Emergency Planning Committee, Salem OR; and Union County Local Emergency Planning Committee, Union County AR.

The Foundation's Community Awards for Chemical Safety are given annually to emergency planning and response groups judged to have the most effective chemical safety programs within their communities. The four award winners were selected from 35 candidates throughout the nation.
