Finalists Chosen for Chemical Safety Awards

Nine community emergency planning and response agencies qualify as award finalists for their chemical safety programs, the Chemical Educational Foundation (CEF) announced.

The CEF Community Awards for Chemical Safety Program, now in its fourth year, presents awards annually to community groups judged to have the most effective chemical safety programs within their communities.

2001 Community Awards finalists are:

  • City of Corpus Christi/Nueces County Local Emergency Planning Committee, Corpus Christi TX

  • Erie County Local Emergency Planning Committee, Buffalo NY

  • Honolulu Local Emergency Planning Committee, Honolulu HI

  • North Central Florida Local Emergency Planning Committee, Gainesville FL

  • Oregon Local Emergency Planning Committee, Salem OR

  • Santa Cruz County Local Emergency Planning Committee, Nogales AZ

  • Snohomish County Local Emergency Planning Committee, Everett WA

  • Union County Local Emergency Planning Committee, El Dorado AR

  • Woodbridge Community Advisory Panel, Woodbridge NJ
