Draeger Lends a Hand After Terrorist Attacks

Nov 1, 2001 12:00 PM

Draeger Safety Inc provided immediate response to those in need after the Sept 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington DC. Company personnel traveled with four truckloads of equipment via a police escort to a site near Rockefeller Park NY. These Draeger employees are trained in the use and maintenance of Draeger equipment including self-contained breathing apparatus, closed-circuit breathing equipment, thermal imaging cameras, personal protection products, and components necessary to support these items.

From the time these employees arrived September 12, they provided round-the-clock product and technical assistance to the terrorism response agencies of the federal government, local firefighters, police, and other rescue efforts.
