PeopleNet, provider of onboard computing and mobile communications systems to the transportation industry, announced that J P Donmoyer Inc, a regional dry bulk and truckload carrier based in Ono PA, has equipped its fleet with PeopleNet's tracking and mobile communications system.

Donmoyer, which operates a fleet of 110 power units, 85 pneumatic dry bulk tanker trailers, and about 30 flatbeds and vans, hauls primarily lime, limestone, fly ash, and coal for industrial customers primarily in the Northeast. It supplements that freight with animal feeds.

“The PerformX feature allows us to track miles per gallon, idling, and PTO economy in real-time,” said Frank Costanzo, vice-president/general manager of J P Donmoyer. “Not only does it save us time and improve accuracy, it has helped us manage our drivers better. We can communicate more intelligently because we have the data right in our hands and we can make changes right away.”
