DCT Chambers acquires Glen Transport

DCT Chambers Trucking Ltd has finalized an agreement to acquire all the assets of Glen Transport Ltd, a private family-owned company based in Skookumchuck, British Columbia. Glen Transport has been in business for more than 25 years and primarily specializes in transportation of wood-based residuals in British Columbia, Alberta, Washington, Idaho, and Montana.

A family-owned and -operated company held by Arthur, Mona, and David Chambers, DCT Chambers Trucking was founded in 1964 in Lumby, British Columbia, and is now headquartered in Vernon, British Columbia. It also operates a whole log chipping division on Vancouver Island, a trucking division in Oregon, and a subsidiary deck transportation company, LFL Chambers Ltd, based in Vernon. With the acquisition of Glen Transport, DCT now operates 300 trucks and indirectly employs more than 550 people. DCT plans to continue to operate Glen Transport as a separate division with its headquarters remaining in Skookumchuck, British Columbia.
