Construction cancels Bulldog Roundup event

Oct 1, 2005 12:00 PM

Mack Trucks Inc has decided not to hold the annual Bulldog Roundup community event in Hagerstown MD this year, due to major construction activity underway at the Pennsylvania Avenue facility.

Roger Johnston, vice-president and general manager, said, “It is our intention to bring the event back next year — and make it even bigger and better in 2006.”

The Hagerstown facility is undergoing a transformation into the North American Center of Excellence for Volvo Powertrain, a diesel engine manufacturing organization. Included in the $150 million multi-year construction project are a complete renovation of the plant's assembly areas and equipment, and an engine development laboratory.
