Bush Nominates Peters for DOT Administrator

Mary Peters, Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) director, has been nominated administrator for the United States Department of Transportation by President George W Bush. The nomination was sent to the Senate July 31, according to information from the White House.

Peters served as Arizona DOT deputy director before being named director in 1998. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in Management from the University of Phoenix. She served in various capacities at ADOT since 1985.
