Boasso America opens new headquarters

Construction of the new Boasso America Corp headquarters in Chalmette LA was completed in September, just one mile from the company's previous Arabi LA site.
This 43-acre terminal, which sits in the St Bernard Port, Harbor & Terminal District, houses Boasso America's corporate and administrative staff while also serving as a full-service depot. The facility is entirely hard-surfaced with asphaltic concrete and includes a 20,000-square-foot main office building, a 17,000-sq-ft welding and frame repair area, an 11,000-sq-ft chassis repair shop, and an 8,000-sq-ft tractor maintenance bay. A pressure test/valve repair pad can accommodate 40 tanks under roof.
It also features a 3,000-sq-ft, covered four-lane inspection building, outfitted with catwalks and fall protection gear. A 28,000-sq-ft detached wash rack includes six drive-through bays and 10 positions for exterior and special cleans. The company is currently operating 58 trucks out of this location.
