The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Co (BNSF) has launched BNSF TransBid, a new online marketplace that connects shippers and transloaders by providing fast and easy access to bids for truck and warehousing needs.

On the Web at www.bnsftransload.com/ or through BNSF iPower, this online marketplace allows shippers to post shipment opportunities as well as any value-added services desired, such as tarping or bar-coding. Transload companies will be alerted by e-mail when opportunities arise in their areas, or they can log onto TransBid to see all available opportunities. Once transloaders submit their opportunities, shippers can view all the bids of interested transloaders.

TransBid is the most recent addition to BNSF iPower, a suite of technology tools designed to make shipping as easy and effective as possible.
