Jan 1, 2007 12:00 PM

Frost & Sullivan has named Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems the recipient of its 2006 Customer Value Leadership of the Year Award in the North American Class 6-8 truck original equipment safety systems category. The organization cited the investment by Bendix in research and development to boost safety of heavy trucks, in particular the “full stability” of its ESP technology, as the main reason for this recognition.

Bendix ABS-6 Advanced with ESP system provides a wide margin of stability on a broad range of driving surfaces. In addition, it's the foundation for other technologies such as adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation, telematics, and other future advances in electronics.

Criteria for the award include organizations that have offered effective systems and/or services that provide the highest ratio of value to cost. The recipient must provide customers with products that provide quality, value, and innovative applications.
