Barbara Windsor receives MMTA honors

Barbara Windsor, president and chief executive officer of Hahn Transportation Inc, New Market MD, has been selected by the Maryland Motor Truck Association (MMTA) as its 2005 Person of the Year.
Windsor, who currently serves as chairman of the National Tank Truck Carriers, also sits on MMTA's board of directors and is a past chairman of the association. She also chairs the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Political Action Committee. Windsor received the MMTA award April 30 in Baltimore MD.
The Person of the Year selection is initiated each year by the executive committee of MMTA's board of directors. This committee considers nominees based on their commitment, contributions, and leadership within the trucking industry or to that industry. Final selection is presented to the MMTA board of directors for a full vote. The award was created in 1979.
