Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) has appointed Patrick Quinn, American Trucking Associations (ATA) chairman and president and co-chairman of truckload carrier US Xpress Enterprises, to the National Surface Transportation Policy and Revenue Study Commission. Established by the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU), the commission will study the current condition and future needs of the surface transportation system and financing alternatives to meet those needs.
