AMKO adds pneumatic retesting capabilities

Aug 1, 2004 12:00 PM

AMKO Service Co, a wholly owned subsidiary of Praxair Inc, is offering pneumatic retesting of carbon dioxide trailers at its Adelanto CA facility. Besides the Adelanto facility, pneumatic retesting of carbon dioxide trailers is performed at AMKO's Gnadenthutten OH facility. When compared with standard hydrostatic testing, the pneumatic process reduces testing time by about 25% and eliminates introduction of water into the vessel that may contribute to contamination, oxidation and additional dryout time.

Pneumatic retesting can be used on trailer equipment used to transport liquid industrial gas products including carbon dioxide, ammonia, liquid natural gas, argon, nitrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen.
