Jim Pflum has joined Girard Equipment Inc, Linden NJ, as a sales engineer. He will handle sales and customer service in the Midwest and western United States and Canada and will be based in Wisconsin. A 40-year veteran of the tank trailer industry, he began his career in 1968 as a draftsman at Brenner Tank and has held various positions in engineering and sales with that company.
Werts Welding & Tank Service has named Monte R Anderson as its new Tank Truck Division manager. With Werts since 1999, he has been in parts sales as an outside salesman, assisted in new product development, and was production coordinator of the Tank Truck Division.
Fontaine International-North America has named Henry Bell president, and Terry Mennen has joined the company as vice-president of business development. Bell joined the Fontaine family in August 2005 as president of the Fleet Business Unit of Fontaine Trailer. Mennen comes to the firm with more than 23 years' experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
