Trout Trucking driver wins NSC Texas award

Juan Suarez, a driver for Trout Trucking Co Inc, Corpus Christi TX, has won the National Safety Council (NSC) Joseph M Kaplan 2007 Safe Driver of the Year Award for Texas, according to Trout information.
Suarez, a 17-year veteran driver, has been with Trout Trucking for six years, and has been selected as the company's Driver of the Year for the past three consecutive years. He has driven over two-million miles without a preventable accident or incident.
The Joseph M Kaplan award recognizes outstanding drivers who have driven a significant number of miles and/or years behind the wheel without incurring a preventable accident. Winners are judged based on their total driving record throughout their career, including total number of years driven, total number of miles driven, total number of hours behind the wheel, and total number of accidents.
Suarez received a personalized plaque from the National Safety Council recognizing his accomplishment. In addition, he was honored at the 2007 National Safety Council Safety Awards Banquet held in Chicago IL recently.
