Schneider adds fuel
to its bulk services

Mar 25, 2008 12:02 PM

Schneider National Inc, Green Bay WI, has added fuel-hauling capabilities to its bulk division, according to Schneider information.

The decision to add the fuel-hauling services stems from the emergency fuel supply chain Schneider managed for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the US Department of Transportation during Hurricane Katrina recovery, the carrier said.

“After a deeper look into this leg of the transportation sector, Schneider realized that offering this service to customers was the next natural extension in our current transportation offerings,” said George Grossardt, vice-president and general manager.

Schneider’s fuel-hauling services are offered in the Gulf Coast region (stretching from New Orleans LA, to Houston TX) and the upper Midwest. Schneider also will explore expanding its fuel-hauling capacity to the eastern portion of the United States.
