Stolt-Nielsen SA, London, England, has confirmed that MT Stolt Strength, an on time-charter to Stolt Tankers BV, was released April 21 by her Somali captors.

All 23 crew members on board were reported safe. The vessel was taken by Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden November 10, 2008, while on passage from Dakar to Kandla.

Stolt-Nielsen said it understand that the crew will shortly be reunited with their families and recognizes that the safe release of the ship and crew have been a difficult and protracted process for the ship's owners and managers. "We are relieved that a safe conclusion to this traumatic situation has been reached," the company added.
