New LNG tank trailer builder opens plant in Houston TX

ACTLNG image AApplied Cryo Technologies, a new builder of cryogenic tank trailers for liquefied natural gas (LNG), officially opened its new Houston TX production facility on January 5. The company’s 175,000-sq-ft factory sits on 22 acres and is located at 7150 Almeda Genoa Road in Houston.

The company’s current core business is building 13,000-gallon MC338 cryogenic tank trailers and cryogenic mobile storage equipment for LNG. Applied Cryo Technologies’ founders include Bob Ernull, Jack Smith, and Tim Lowrey. The new start-up business employs 40 workers.

ACTLNG image B Current plans call for the company to build 12 trailers a month through 2013, with production scheduled to increase to 24 a month in 2014.

Dragon Products Ltd was a partner in the launch of Applied Cryo Technologies displayed one of the new LNG trailers at World LNG Fuels 2013, runs through January 23 in Houston.    End of feature
