DPC meeting features tank cleaning issues

Aug 11, 2008 8:58 AM

With the dairy industry continuing to improve methods for maintaining milk sanitation, the Dairy Practices Council is addressing the issue at its annual conference November 5-7 in East Lansing MI.

According to Chris Thompson, a researcher at the University of Kentucky, the sessions November 6 will be of interest not only to milk haulers, but to tank cleaning facility managers. The topic for tank cleaning will include discussions on ways to improve wash procedures, national transportation issues, and various concerns, including whose responsibility is it to assure a wash is appropriate.

The meeting will be at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center on the campus at Michigan State University. More information is available online at dairypc.org, or by calling 732-203-1947.
