Edwin S Hibbard, a driver with Linden Bulk Transportation Co Inc, Linden NJ, has been named the XL Insurance Driver of the Year.

Hibbard, a 20-year veteran with Linden, has driven more than three-million miles with only one non-preventable accident to his record. He was awarded a commemorative pin, a US Savings Bond, and a certificate citing his career accomplishments.

XL, with the help of a national panel of safety experts, selects one driver whose safety record and professional career stand out in the industry.

“Ed takes great pride in his profession and he sets the standard by which all other drivers should be measured,” Michael Salz, Linden Bulk owner and vice-president, said in a news release. “The manner in which he maintains his tractor, his admirable driving record, and the TLC he provides to each customer distinguish Ed as a true, first-class driver.”
