K-Limited driver named to ATA Team

Ronald Hawkins Jr, a driver for K-Limited Carrier Ltd, Toledo OH, has been selected a captain of the 2009-2010 America's Road Team sponsored by the American Trucking Associations (ATA).
Hawkins was selected from a group of 34 finalists who competed before a panel of judges from the trucking industry and related fields. The competition included a review of trucking industry expertise and a demonstration of communication skills, combined with community service and lifetime safety records.
The K-Limited driver is the only tank truck driver in the group and is a 12-year veteran of K-Limited. He is based in Perrysburg OH and was named the Ohio Trucking Association (OTA) 2007 Driver of the Year. With 11 additional years with previous employers, Hawkins has a career total of 23 years and more than 1.7 million accident-free miles. In addition, he was named K-Limited's Driver of the Year in 2006 and is a certified driver trainer who has trained more than 100 company drivers since joining the company.
The Road Team is composed of 18 drivers with million-mile, accident-free records who will spend the next two years representing the trucking industry and delivering its highway safety message to the motoring public.
ATA created America's Road Team in 1986. It continues today with the support of Volvo Trucks North America. The team represents America's 3.5 million professional drivers and serves as an example of professional dedication and teamwork needed to deliver America's freight safely and on time.
