National Academies to begin hazmat study to advance knowledge and practice

A study for ways to advance current knowledge and practice of hazardous materials will soon be underway by the National Academies, according to information from the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA).

The pilot program will be managed by the Transportation Research Board (TRB), part of the National Academies, and is funded by the Highway Trust Fund.
