Dufour Petroleum
joins SmartWay

Dufour Petroleum LP, Petal MS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Enbridge Energy Partners LP has joined the SmartWay Transport Partnership.

"Consistently strong environmental performance is a key indicator of success for DPI," said Mike Howell DPI general manager. "Through improvements in the environmental performance of DPI’s freight operations, including installation of auxiliary power units that will reduce the idle time for our trucks, DPI and Enbridge are committed to helping the Smartway Transport Partnership reduce truck emissions nationwide.

"Joining SmartWay will provide DPI access to information and a network of partners dedicated to achieving a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions while demonstrating the DPI and Enbridge commitment to strong environmental leadership and corporate responsibility."

SmartWay is a collaboration between the Environmental Protection Agency and the freight industry designed to increase energy efficiency while significantly reducing greenhouse gases and air pollution.
