Driver shortage, fuel costs trouble carriers

The driver shortage and diesel fuel issues top the list in an American Transportation Research Institute survey of more than 4,000 trucking industry executives.
Aside from driver shortage and diesel fuel, other Top Ten issues are driver retention, hours-of-service rules, highway congestion, government regulations, highway infrastructure problems, tort reform, tolls/highway funding, and environmental issues.
