DistTech wins OTA safety award

DistTech Inc, Newbury OH, has been honored by the Ohio Trucking Association (OTA) for outstanding achievement in highway safety, according to DistTech information.
With only one recordable accident for the more than 5.8 million miles driven by its fleet in Ohio, DistTech earned the honor in the Large Division (5,000,001-10,000,000 miles) for 2006.
"Day in and day out, our entire driving team remains focused on safely sharing the road and making safety their top priority," said Randy Vaughn, director of safety for DistTech. "This recognition from the OTA is proof that we're accomplishing this mission."
DistTech said that its driving force of 500 includes more than 30 drivers based in Ohio who have accumulated at least one million miles of accident-free driving throughout their careers.
