DistTech Inc, a provider of dedicated and common carriage for liquid bulk commodities, has been honored by the Ohio Trucking Association (OTA) for outstanding achievement in highway safety. With only two recordable accidents for the more than 5.4 million miles driven by its fleet in Ohio, DistTech earned the Fleet Safety Award in the Large Division (5,000,001-10,000,000 miles) for 2008.

“Safety is a top priority in everything we do,” said Mark Kadlec, vice-president of human resources and safety for DistTech. “This honor from the OTA is a testament to our driving team’s ongoing commitment to safely sharing the road with other motorists each and every day.”

DistTech’s driving force includes more than 40 drivers based in Ohio who have accumulated at least one million miles of accident-free driving throughout their careers.
