Diesel price climbs to over $3 per gallon

The average price of diesel across the nation passed the $3 per gallon mark last week, climbing almost seven cents to $3.032, according to information from the Department of Energy.

The average prices of low sulfur and ultra low sulfur diesel followed a similar trend, increasing to $3.008 and $3.038 per gallon, respectively. Low sulfur diesel increased slightly less than seven cents while ultra low sulfur was 6.7 cents higher than the week before.
