Diesel price inches down from week before

The average price of on-road diesel continued a downward trend last week, dropping a fraction of a cent to $3.955 per gallon, according to the Department of Energy.
The slight reduction in price was the second consecutive week carriers have experienced any relief in the price in about three months. Last week, low sulfur diesel was a cent lower at $3.875 per gallon while ultra low sulfur diesel followed suit at $3.966 per gallon.
