Diesel price falls
to 2007 levels

The average price of diesel continued on its downward slide last week, falling over 14 cents to $2.944 per gallon, the lowest since September 2007.

The price has fallen each week for the past two months, according to Department of Energy data. The all-time high price for diesel was set July 14 of this year at $4.764 cents per gallon.

Low sulfur diesel prices last week followed the trend, ringing up at the pump at $2.829 per gallon, a 16.5 cents drop from the week before. Ultra low sulfur diesel fell 14.2 cents to $2.958 per gallon.
